Hi I'm Joanne Van Raaphorst and Costumes n Things is my baby. It's a business that I've started from scratch and built up to the point now where we are literally bursting at the seams with thousands of costumes and fancy dress.
The business first started from a spare bedroom in my home and then moved to the garage. While I was working out of the garage I was busy building up my collection of costumes and developing the business to the point where it just had to move into a shop. Along the way I also bought out two other fancy dress shops in the area. |
Ten years down the track and I'm still as passionate about Costumes n Things as I was when I first started the business. I love to be able to help people have a great time and, if you've never been to a costume party before, you'd be amazed at how much fun people can have when they dress up. Running this business gives me the chance to help people have fun
Many of the costumes and fancy dress items that you will find at Costumes n Things have been designed and sewn by me and if we don't have exactly what you want then we may be able to make an outfit just for you if you give us enough prior warning.
These days Costumes n Things has grown to the point where I have a number of staff who help me run
the store and each of those people is as committed to helping you have fun as I am. So come in
